Casselberry Events Through The End Of The Year!

Santa Coming to Casselberry, Dec. 2-3-4:
Be on the lookout for the Casselberry Fire Truck escorting Santa and his elves throughout the streets of our city tossing candy to all the good girls and boys - and maybe a few grown-ups too - during this year's Santa Run on December 2, 3 and 4. Check out www.casselberry.org for routes. If you miss Santa's visit, you can come find him at Casselberry's Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, December 12, at Lake Concord Park from 5-9 p.m. Click for a Map of Santa's Route
House Decorating, Registration Dec. 4 and Judging Dec. 9:
Demonstrate your community pride and light up the holiday season! Decorating for the season is a perfect project for families to enjoy, so pull out your Santas, sleds, reindeer, wreaths and lights and show your holiday spirit! This festive contest is open to any home within the Casselberry city limits. Prizes include first, second and third places. Entry deadline is 4 p.m. Dec. 4. Forms are available at City Hall. Judging is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 9. Make sure the lights are on!
Annual Tree Lighting, Dec. 12:
Kick off the holiday season with our annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in Casselberry! It's part of the special Holiday Art & Music in the Park and The Food Truck Bazaar. And there will be a holiday movie too! This free, family-friendly event will be held on Friday, December 12, at Lake Concord Park from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event begins with singing by Seminole State College of Florida's SeminoleSound, and there will be singing and dancing by the Maitland Academy of Performing Arts and Ballet South. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive and light the City's Holiday Tree at 6:30 p.m. Afterward, Santa will visit and take photos with children.
Casselberry Bike Ride, Dec. 13:
This fun adventure through Casselberry is the perfect occasion for you and your family to feel the wonder and excitement this time of year brings! As hundreds of bicycle riders cruise through 10 miles of brightly lit neighborhoods, it is impossible to miss the joy of the season. A truly unique experience, this night ride includes games, music, and refreshments! Check-in and pre-ride activities begins at 4 p.m. at South Seminole Middle School on Saturday, Dec. 13. Ride begins promptly at 6 p.m. The ride is a $10 donation in advance and $12 the night of the event. Children under 10 ride for free. Check out http://newhopeforkids.org/bike/
History exhibit called The Way We Worked, Dec. 20-Jan. 31, 2015:
What would life be like without teachers, doctors or firefighters? Every day Americans are hard at work on farms, factories, in homes or at desks keeping our communities thriving. The City of Casselberry in cooperation with Florida Humanities Council, will explore the professions and the people that sustain American society when it hosts ?The Way We Worked,? a Smithsonian Institution traveling exhibition. The exhibit will be on view at the Casselberry Art House from Dec. 20, 2014 through January 31, 2015. The hours are 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
